Location: Civic Center on Wheeler Drive in the City Park, Winnsboro, TX
The Winnsboro Farmers’ Market hosts an afternoon come and go exposition and film festival about food, the food industry today, and access to fresh, healthy foods.
Snack on GMO free organic popcorn while watching your choice of three movies shown simultaneously (The Last Beekeeper, American Meat, and Genetic Roulette) at 2:30 pm, 4:15 pm, and 6 p.m. on Saturday June 28, 2014. In between films, visit with food vendors, community and service organizations, and the Texas Honey Queen. A guest chef shows you how to prepare simple recipes using food from your local farmers market. Doors open at 2 pm.
In lieu of an admission fee, please bring a food item for the local food pantry.
