Event Description:
On October 30, 1938, intended as a Halloween Eve treat, Columbia Broadcasting System Mercury Theatre on Air broadcast a dramatization of H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds, and unintentionally sparked panic and hysteria across America.
This October the WCA will be recreating that broadcast on our stage, using the original script written by Howard Koch with permission from his widow, Anne Koch. Director Maryann Miller will be holding auditions on July 31, Aug. 2 and 3 at 6:30 pm. Adults and teens are invited to audition.
