Event Description:
Two members of the WCA Board of Directors, Bill Jones and Maryann Miller, spent MONTHS collecting photos and verifying names and dates for this collaborative effort chronically the rich history of Winnsboro. Unlike many books written about a town’s history, which generally include lots of text with a few photos thrown in, this one is LOADED with photos, accompanied by well-researched captions, many of which include fascinating tidbits of historical trivia.
The books are on sale at the WCA during regular business hours (10 am-2 pm, W, Th, F, S), but be sure to mark your calendars to join us on August 11 at 1 pm for the official Book Launch & Author Signing…your purchase from the WCA will help the us to continue to support the arts and artists of East Texas! You'll probably have to wait until August 11 to get your copies signed, however… cash or check only on these pre-sales. If you need to pay by credit card, we'll put a post-it with your name on a book and save it 'til the 11th! (If you just want us to put one aside for you, drop us an email and we'll stick a post-it with your name on one of them!)
